Digging in a Bean Box

Waited for a good sale on beans, then bought 15 bags to make Ellie a bean box to dig in. We have some sand box toys from Target and had the bin already. Ellie has had several hours of fun with it since it was introduced to her Sunday. Just have to keep an eye [...]

Meadowbrook Park

Now that the weather is getting a little nicer, we are taking full advantage of some free nearby parks.  Saturday, we finally got around to checking out Meadowbrook Park by the Park-and-Ride off Rt100 and Rt 103.  It was a fabulous time.  The ground was soft and there were a lot of play options.  Bathroom [...]

Egg Hunt and Fun at Clark’s Elioak Farm

We spent a few hours on Saturday at Clark’s Elioak Farm for Easter fun, animal spotting, and egg hunting.  It was very busy, but the place seemed to handle the numbers very well.  The only thing we missed out on was the pony ride because the line was very long.    Pin It

Toddler-Friendly Coloring of Easter Eggs

As a toddler, Ellie does not have a lot of patience, so dying eggs the traditional way didn’t seem possible. Instead, we put the color tabs into bowls with 3 tablespoons of vinegar (no water). It made the colors show up faster and more vibrant. It also kept the level lower so that she could [...]

Visit to Pump It Up

Yesterday, a large group of us brought our kiddos over to the local Pump It Up for the Pop-in Playtime.  It’s essentially a big warehouse filled with gigantic inflatable slides, bounce houses, obstacle courses and more.  Great thing was, it was free for her because she’s still under 2.  It was our first time there [...]

Shaking Her Sillies Out

Occasionally, I break out the Toddler Radio station on Pandora and last night Ellie’s dancing did not disappoint.  While, she also loves to groove to Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Disco, and Motown… her dance moves vary most when it’s kid music directing her to do certain things.  At the end of a long day, [...]

She eats better than I do.

Ellie’s a pretty great toddler and I have very little to complain about, including her eating.  I don’t know if it was from the Baby-Led Weaning or just her personality, but she a very good eater.  She eats a large variety of things and is willing to try new things.  She loves the healthy food, [...]
