Further Babyproofing to Prevent a Free-Fall

I was away for TWO DAYS, and I come back to a little one that has figured out how to get up on our couch and chairs in the living room.  Our two chairs were against the railing overlooking a long drop to the front door.

Looked like some rearranging needed to be done to make this space a little more Ellie-not-plunging-to-her-death safe.

After about an hour of trying out different arrangements, here’s what we have for now…

There is plenty of space so Ellie can’t climb her way over the railing and outlets have been blocked off (at least for her current abilities).

The coffee table has been moved to the corner, blocking off an outlet and allowing a great place to stow away and hide Ellie’s toys when we have our adult time.  (It also keeps her things safe from the dogs when we leave the house.)

Hard to see, but there is about two feet of space on the two sides for easy access of her toy bins.

Baby-proofing is a marathon, not a sprint.  What do you predict is going to be my next obstacle?

Everything at one point or another won’t be safe: lamps, cords, ridge, rugs, stairs, toilet, you name it!
