Montgomery Reunion

It’s been years since we’ve been able to make it to one of these.  It was so nice to get to see Rob’s extended family, despite the crazy heat.  We found that dousing Ellie with cool water did the trick to keep her pleasant and happy.  I don’t dress Ellie up very often, but I [...]

Pre-”Labor Day” Camping Trip in July

It’s tradition to camp at Rob’s dad’s farm every Labor Day weekend, but with Ada’s due date this year, we moved up the date to Independence Day weekend.  Not all of the usual camper friends were able to make it this year, but we still had a great group and a great time.  Last year, [...]

Rainy Day Fun in the Water Bowl

Weather was not looking good today, so we didn’t head to the pool.  Apparently, Ellie wasn’t taking no for answer and found her own pool in the form of the dogs’ water dish on the porch.  She was ever so pleased with herself and I found it rather hilarious.

PA Cabin Trip 2013

Last weekend, we headed out to PA with some good friends for a relaxing weekend at the cabin on a creek.  Lots of campfire, creek-swimming, and story-telling-on-the-porch fun.  Ellie graduated to sleeping on a cot and did well, yay!

Trip to Sesame Place in PA

Family Trip to Ohio – Part III – Great Grandparent’s Farm

The last leg of our trip took us to Ellie’s great-grandparent’s farm in PA.  We only got to stick around for 3 hours, a great pitstop on our drive back to Maryland, but it was an enjoyable visit. If the slideshow doesn’t work for you, here are the thumbnails:   Related Posts: Family Trip to [...]

Family Trip to Ohio – Part II – Grandma’s and the Zoo

The second leg of our trip was to Grandma’s house.  We spent Tuesday checking out the Akron Zoo using our MD Zoo Membership (free admission!)  The zoo was a lot better than I had expected and we will definitely be back. If the slideshow doesn’t work, here are thumbnails of images: Related Posts: Family Trip [...]
